	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 247
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	join New Beth-Eden Missionary Baptist Church in recognizing B. R.
	Daniels, Sr., on his 40 years in the ministry; and
	WHEREAS, During his four decades as pastor of New Beth-Eden
	Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Reverend Daniels has
	spread his unique brand of preaching to churches all over the
	United States and Jamaica; and
	WHEREAS, Over the course of his distinguished career,
	Reverend Daniels has held many local and state Christian
	leadership positions; for 15 years, he served as moderator of the
	Northwestern District Baptist Association, and he currently sits
	on the board of directors of the Southern Bible Institute, where
	he attended school; and
	WHEREAS, Reverend Daniels has ministered to the physical
	and spiritual needs of Christians for almost half a century; he
	has imparted hope and enlightenment to his followers, and
	congregations throughout Texas will honor Reverend Daniels with
	sermons and services on this auspicious anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, Inspirational and dedicated to helping others,
	this beloved pastor has selflessly given of his time and energy;
	he has performed countless ceremonies and has prayed with and
	counseled his followers in times of both hardship and prosperity;
	now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
	Legislature, join the members of New Beth-Eden Missionary
	Baptist Church in commending Reverend B. R. Daniels, Sr., for his
	40 years of service; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
