SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 24
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Tara Rejino, who is retiring as chief of staff to
  Chairman Peter Lake at the Public Utility Commission of Texas; and
 
         WHEREAS, Tara began her career in public service with the
  Texas Senate, where she served as a committee clerk, a senior
  policy analyst, and the committee director for the Natural
  Resources and Economic Development Committee; a talented and
  resourceful individual, she was instrumental in the development
  of state water policy and the creation of the Texas State Water
  Implementation Fund; and
 
         WHEREAS, Tara transitioned to the Texas Water Development
  Board in 2016 and to the Public Utility Commission of Texas in
  2021, serving in both agencies as the chief of staff to Peter Lake,
  director first of the Board and later of the Commission; noted for
  her superior organizational skills and comprehensive knowledge of
  water policy, Tara handled her wide-ranging responsibilities with
  the utmost dedication and professionalism; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Tara has distinguished
  herself by exhibiting poise and perseverance throughout her
  impressive 29-year career with the State of Texas; she is admired
  and respected by her colleagues, and her presence at the Public
  Utility Commission will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Tara Rejino on
  her excellent leadership and career of service and extend to her
  best wishes in all her future endeavors; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
