| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the Greater Houston Pachyderm Club for its exemplary | ||
| efforts to get people involved in the political process; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Greater Houston Pachyderm Club is a chapter of | ||
| the National Federation of Pachyderm Clubs and an official allied | ||
| organization of the Republican National Committee; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The club was founded to provide a practical means | ||
| for broad citizen participation in politics, to facilitate | ||
| political education and the dissemination of information on the | ||
| political system, and to promote the development of political | ||
| leaders; and | ||

| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend the Greater Houston Pachyderm Club | ||
| on its efforts to promote citizen participation in politics and | ||
| extend to its members best wishes for continued success; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the club as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
