| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Patti and Don Johnson on their dedicated service to | ||
| Senate District 25; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Don Johnson has been a source of wisdom and | ||
| inspiration to the members of Senate District 25, and his service | ||
| to the district has been invaluable; during his time as treasurer | ||
| of the Comal County Republican Party, Don was instrumental in | ||
| maintaining the party's records and budget reports; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A man of courage and integrity, Don served as the | ||
| County Senate District 25 chairman for meetings at Texas State | ||
| Conventions, and he went above and beyond his duties supporting | ||
| precinct chairs with their responsibilities and reminding others | ||
| to uphold the standards of state law, including the Election | ||
| Code; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Patti Johnson has served in a number of leadership | ||
| positions in the district, including as president of Canyon Lake | ||
| Republican Women, as chair of the Awards and Achievements | ||
| Committee, and as co-chair of the Hospitality Committee for the | ||
| Texas Federation of Republican Women; an expert in bylaws and | ||
| procedures, Patti has earned multiple awards for her service to | ||
| the district; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Don and Patti have been active in many levels of | ||
| their party for numerous years, and their presence will be | ||
| sincerely missed in Senate District 25; it is truly fitting that | ||
| this extraordinary couple be recognized for their significant | ||
| contributions; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th | ||
| Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Don and Patti | ||
| Johnson on their service to Senate District 25 and extend to them | ||
| best wishes in all their future endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
