SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 207
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the members of Leadership Boerne on the occasion of
  their visit to Austin and the State Capitol on February 9, 2011;
  and
         WHEREAS, Leadership Boerne is a community leadership
  program that aims to increase the leadership pool for the present
  and the future in the Boerne area; the program's motto is
  "Developing Tomorrow's Leaders Today," and its members and
  alumni contribute immeasurably to South Central Texas as civic
  leaders and volunteers; and
         WHEREAS, Established by the Boerne Chamber of Commerce in
  1998, this exceptional nine-month program offers participants
  many opportunities to gain greater insight into important public
  issues and to meet with leaders who make crucial decisions on
  policies that affect their community; and
         WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and
  provide a diverse membership with personal leadership training,
  networking opportunities, and instruction from knowledgeable
  figures representing both the public and private sectors; topics
  covered include state, city, and county government, economic
  development and tourism, education, and health care; and
         WHEREAS, The theme for this year's Leadership Boerne Day at
  the Capitol is "Sustainability Texas Style"; and
         WHEREAS, The members of this exemplary program are
  concerned citizens who have shown outstanding leadership
  abilities and are committed to building an involved citizenry and
  a better community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Leadership Boerne
  Class of 2011 for their civic engagement and volunteerism and
  extend to them best wishes for a productive and memorable visit
  to Austin; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the group as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
