| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the 2019 Texas Birthday Bash, which is taking place | ||
| March 1 and 2 in Navasota; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This exemplary event celebrates the signing of | ||
| the Texas Declaration of Independence, which took place seven | ||
| miles from Navasota on March 2, 1836, in | ||
| Washington-on-the-Brazos; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Texas Birthday Bash will celebrate Texas | ||
| Independence Day with a wide range of family-friendly activities | ||
| in historic downtown Navasota; the event will feature music and | ||
| great food; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 86th Legislature, hereby commend the citizens of Navasota for | ||
| celebrating the rich history of our state and extend to them best | ||
| wishes for an enjoyable 2019 Texas Birthday Bash; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in | ||
| honor of this special occasion. | ||
