SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 162
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the members of the 2014-2015 Class of Leadership Round
Rock for their participation in this productive community
organization; and
WHEREAS, Leadership Round Rock is sponsored by the Round
Rock Chamber of Commerce; its nine-month program aims to increase
public awareness of the community's challenges and issues and to
provide opportunities for participants to engage in discourse
with local leaders; and
WHEREAS, Students in the program come from a wide variety
of backgrounds, but all share an interest in learning about
governmental and educational institutions and ways in which they
can improve their community; and
WHEREAS, The Leadership Round Rock program endeavors to
build a more informed citizenry and to promote a bright and
promising future for the city and for the Lone Star State; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend the members of the 2014-2015 Class of
Leadership Round Rock for their interest in pursuing active
leadership roles in the community and extend to them best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
this class as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
