WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
recognize the Wild Hog Cook-off in Crowell and its dedicated | ||
sponsors and participants; and | ||
WHEREAS, Known as the Wild Hog Capital of the World, | ||
Crowell has been hosting the Wild Hog Cook-off for many years; | ||
this outstanding event is sponsored by the Crowell Chamber of | ||
Commerce and is sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society; and | ||
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and | ||
through the years Texas barbecue cook-off chefs have provided | ||
superior cuisine that satisfies the most discriminating palates; | ||
the Wild Hog Cook-off in Crowell contributes greatly to the | ||
continuation of this vital Texas tradition; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd | ||
Legislature, hereby recognize the Wild Hog Cook-off in Crowell as | ||
a Texas State Barbecue Championship competition and commend its | ||
sponsors and participants on their dedication to the art of | ||
barbecue; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
