| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize David Earl Rock Sr., who is retiring February 28, 2015, | ||
| from the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after 30 | ||
| years of outstanding service; and | ||
| WHEREAS, David Rock joined the comptroller's office in 1984 | ||
| as an enforcement officer; he soon moved to the Waco Audit | ||
| Office, and due to his exceptional auditing skills, he was | ||
| promoted to the position of division training coordinator; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout his career, he has been noted for his | ||
| superior management skills and organizational abilities; in | ||
| 2000, he became area manager of Audit Headquarters, and he has | ||
| served in that capacity for 15 years; and | ||
| WHEREAS, David Rock's willingness to mentor others, his | ||
| expertise in a wide range of technical fields, and his talent for | ||
| sharing information have made him an invaluable resource to the | ||
| Audit Division; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and | ||
| admired by his colleagues, and his presence with the Office of | ||
| the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend David Earl Rock Sr. on his | ||
| exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of the | ||
| Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to him | ||
| best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
