| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the members of the Chancellor's Student Advisory | ||
| Council of The Texas A&M University System; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Established in 1982, the Chancellor's Student | ||
| Advisory Council was created to address issues that are relevant | ||
| to students throughout the university system; the council is | ||
| composed of two student representatives from each of the | ||
| university's campuses; the students participate in educational | ||
| seminars throughout the state and meet twice a year to discuss | ||
| campus affairs; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The members are leaders in student government who | ||
| encourage student involvement in campus activities, identify and | ||
| support emerging leaders, and serve as a liaison to the system's | ||
| chancellor and board of regents; and | ||
| WHEREAS, These exceptional leaders play an integral role | ||
| in the success of the campuses in The Texas A&M University System | ||
| and they are indeed deserving of recognition for their | ||
| outstanding work and dedication; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Chancellor's Student | ||
| Advisory Council of The Texas A&M University System for their | ||
| commitment to excellence in educational leadership and extend to | ||
| them best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| council members as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
