SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 13
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Isauro G. Farias on the grand occasion of his 87th
birthday; and
WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is well known for
his wisdom and generosity of spirit, and he is a beloved and
respected citizen of our state; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Farias is a member of a family that greatly
values military service, and he served the nation with
distinction for more than 20 years in the United States Army; and
WHEREAS, After his retirement, he continued to serve the
country by working with the United States Customs and Border
Protection, the United States Immigration Service, and the
United States Marshals Service; and
WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife, Catalina, have enjoyed 65
years of marriage together, and they renewed their marriage vows
in 2011 in Cana of Galilee in Israel; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Farias is noted for his strength, his
compassion for others, and his enthusiasm for living each day to
the fullest; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby recognize Isauro G. Farias as a treasured
citizen of our state and extend to him best wishes on his 87th
birthday; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
