| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay | ||
| tribute to Mary Byron Sanders Moore, who is celebrating her 100th | ||
| birthday on July 17, 2013; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This gracious Texan has led a highly active life | ||
| and is a beloved and respected member of her community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born in Biardstown, in Lamar County, she grew up | ||
| in | ||
| WHEREAS, Mary and Babe delighted in the arrival of their | ||
| daughters, Mary Alice and Elizabeth; Mary waited until the | ||
| children were older before she returned to teaching in 1955; she | ||
| devoted some 20 years to the Dallas Independent School District, | ||
| and the couple retired to Canton; they shared 49 happy years | ||
| together, until Babe's death in 1985; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to Mary Byron | ||
| Sanders Moore on the grand occasion of her 100th birthday; and, | ||
| be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
