| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Yolanda Black Navarro, who is receiving the Women on | ||
| the Move Award from the Texas Executive Women organization; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Yolanda is a longtime resident of the East End and | ||
| has been a fearless advocate for quality-of-life issues | ||
| impacting the residents of Houston; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, Yolanda is a community leader who models the | ||
| ultimate expression of commitment to civic engagement; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Her wide and influential network has helped her | ||
| develop a credible reputation as a source for emerging leaders | ||
| and she has consequently opened the doors for many young, and | ||
| seasoned, men and women; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Yolanda Black | ||
| Navarro on her commitment to civic engagement and her many | ||
| achievements and extend to her congratulations on receiving the | ||
| Women on the Move Award; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
