SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 116
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Yolanda Black Navarro, who is receiving the Women on
  the Move Award from the Texas Executive Women organization; and
 
         WHEREAS, Yolanda is a longtime resident of the East End and
  has been a fearless advocate for quality-of-life issues
  impacting the residents of Houston; and
 
         WHEREAS,
 
 
 
         WHEREAS, Yolanda is a community leader who models the
  ultimate expression of commitment to civic engagement; and
 
         WHEREAS, Her wide and influential network has helped her
  develop a credible reputation as a source for emerging leaders
  and she has consequently opened the doors for many young, and
  seasoned, men and women; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Yolanda Black
  Navarro on her commitment to civic engagement and her many
  achievements and extend to her congratulations on receiving the
  Women on the Move Award; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
