| Timothy I. O'Hearn | ||
| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the | ||
| citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Timothy I. O'Hearn, | ||
| who died June 13, 2013, at the age of 63; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Tim O'Hearn was born to Roberta H. O'Hearn and | ||
| William J. O'Hearn on January 5, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska; he | ||
| grew up to become a beloved patriarch, a highly successful | ||
| businessman, and a philanthropist who took great joy in helping | ||
| others; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For 35 years, Tim served as president of Austin | ||
| Foam Plastics, a company he helped to build and grow from the | ||
| ground up; he was noted for his interest in his employees' | ||
| quality of life, and he worked hard to expand the scope of his | ||
| business, in part for their benefit and that of their families; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Tim was devoted to his mother, his daughters, his | ||
| grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, and his many nieces and | ||
| nephews, and he was a source of strength, joy, and encouragement | ||
| to all of them; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He gave generously to numerous charitable causes | ||
| and philanthropic organizations, and he sought to enrich the | ||
| lives of others in whatever way he could; he lived his life to the | ||
| fullest and enjoyed his worldly travels, and he took great pride | ||
| in the success and achievements of his loved ones; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman and a kindhearted | ||
| person who was beloved by many, and he will be greatly missed by | ||
| all who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be | ||
| it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere | ||
| condolences to the bereaved family of Timothy I. O'Hearn; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the | ||
| Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do | ||
| so in memory of Tim O'Hearn. | ||
