| WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of | ||
| mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Douglas and Jane Lee | ||
| of Mineola celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on | ||
| September 11, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lee were joined in matrimony in 1965 | ||
| at a ceremony held in Mineola; through the years, they have been | ||
| blessed with a treasured family that includes their children, | ||
| Theresa Meazell and her husband, Billy, Vance Lee and his wife, | ||
| Elli, and Kimberly Bates and her husband, David, as well as six | ||
| grandchildren, Lee Caldwell, Erica Crane, Kelby and Brooke | ||
| Bates, Cameron Crane, and Harrison Lee; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Lee has | ||
| owned Lee's Paint and Body Shop for more than three decades, and | ||
| Mrs. Lee is retired from her post as a department manager at | ||
| Walmart; today, she serves as a volunteer at her church; in their | ||
| leisure hours, the couple take pleasure in spending time with | ||
| their family and taking the occasional casino trip; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lee have enjoyed five decades of | ||
| abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an | ||
| exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting | ||
| commitment; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby congratulate Doug and Jane Lee of Mineola on | ||
| their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| Mr. and Mrs. Lee as an expression of high regard from the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
