SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 103
         WHEREAS, James and Sylvia Turrentine of Winnsboro
  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 8, 2016, and
  they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship
  they have shared; and
 
         WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1966, James Turrentine
  and the former Sylvia Thomas exchanged the vows of matrimony at
  First United Methodist Church, and over the course of their
  marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Turrentine count among their
  blessings a fine family that includes their children, Todd and
  his wife, Andrea, and Stan, as well as their grandchildren, Lexi
  and Skyler, with whom they treasure spending many special
  occasions; and
 
         WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Sylvia Turrentine
  have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion,
  and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
  now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate James and Sylvia Turrentine on
  their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the couple as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
