SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 101
         WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six
  decades, Joan and Forrest Clair of Omaha, Texas, celebrated their
  60th wedding anniversary on September 7, 2016; and
 
         WHEREAS, Forrest Clair fell for the former Joan Davis as
  soon as he saw her in the Dixie Made Cafe in Lone Star; the couple
  soon began dating, and they exchanged the vows of matrimony on
  September 7, 1956; over the course of their marriage, they have
  found in each other a devoted life partner; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Clair count among their blessings a
  fine family that includes their four children and numerous
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure
  spending many special occasions; and
 
         WHEREAS, For 60 years, Joan and Forrest Clair have brought
  to their marriage laughter, kindness, and dedication, and it is a
  pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commemorate the 60th wedding anniversary of
  Joan and Forrest Clair and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Mr. and Mrs. Clair as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
