| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the Bremond High School football team, which recently | ||
| won the Class 2A Division II state football championship | ||
| title; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Bremond Tigers were victorious in their sixth | ||
| appearance at the state finals, defeating the Albany Lions 28-21 | ||
| through a remarkable fourth-quarter comeback that earned the | ||
| school a second state football title; and | ||
| WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great talent | ||
| and perseverance throughout the school year, ending the season | ||
| with a 15-0 record, the second perfect season in the school's | ||
| history; team members can take pride in their outstanding | ||
| performance; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of | ||
| head coach Jeff Kasowski and with the assistance of skilled | ||
| managers, the Bremond Tigers have developed exceptional teamwork | ||
| and discipline; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Bremond High School and the City of Bremond are | ||
| proud of the Tigers for their hard work, their impressive skills, | ||
| and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend the Bremond High School Tigers on | ||
| their successful season and congratulate them on winning the | ||
| Class 2A Division II state football championship; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
