SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 10
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Bremond High School football team, which recently
won the Class 2A Division II state football championship
title; and
WHEREAS, The Bremond Tigers were victorious in their sixth
appearance at the state finals, defeating the Albany Lions 28-21
through a remarkable fourth-quarter comeback that earned the
school a second state football title; and
WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great talent
and perseverance throughout the school year, ending the season
with a 15-0 record, the second perfect season in the school's
history; team members can take pride in their outstanding
performance; and
WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
head coach Jeff Kasowski and with the assistance of skilled
managers, the Bremond Tigers have developed exceptional teamwork
and discipline; and
WHEREAS, Bremond High School and the City of Bremond are
proud of the Tigers for their hard work, their impressive skills,
and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend the Bremond High School Tigers on
their successful season and congratulate them on winning the
Class 2A Division II state football championship; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
