| WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 8 has been adopted by the house of | ||
| representatives and the senate and is being prepared for | ||
| enrollment; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The bill contains a technical error that should be | ||
| corrected; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED by the 83rd Legislature of the State of Texas, That | ||
| the enrolling clerk of the senate be instructed to correct Senate | ||
| Bill No. 8 in SECTION 6 of the bill, in added Section 531.1022, | ||
| Government Code, by adding Subsection (d) to that section to read as | ||
| follows: | ||
| (d) A peace officer employed and commissioned under this | ||
| section shall obtain prior approval from the office of attorney | ||
| general before carrying out any duties requiring peace officer | ||
| status. | ||
