SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Joint Committee on Economic Stabilization Fund
Balance, Select, has been appointed and has fulfilled its function
under Section 316.092, Government Code; and
WHEREAS, The Joint Committee on Economic Stabilization Fund
Balance, Select, has adopted a sufficient balance of the
constitutional economic stabilization fund for the state fiscal
biennium beginning September 1, 2017, of $7.5 billion; and
WHEREAS, Section 316.092, Government Code, provides for the
approval of the adopted sufficient balance by a resolution finally
approved by the legislature or for a different sufficient balance
to be provided by a resolution finally approved by the legislature;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas
approves a sufficient balance of the constitutional economic
stabilization fund for the state fiscal biennium beginning
September 1, 2017, of $7.5 billion; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the secretary of state forward an official
copy of this resolution to the comptroller of public accounts.
