SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Dr. Nedra S. Kinerk on her outstanding service to the
  residents of McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley as a community leader
  and volunteer; and
         WHEREAS, Since 1990, Dr. Nedra Kinerk has served numerous
  community organizations in McAllen and has dedicated her time to
  improving the quality of life for all residents of the city; and
         WHEREAS, Serving as the president of Futuro RGV for close to a
  decade, Dr. Kinerk has been instrumental in organizing local events
  and creating a vibrant community atmosphere; during her leadership,
  the organization has hosted community fairs, school board candidate
  forums, festivals, energy discussion panels, and town hall events;
  and
         WHEREAS, In 2022, Futuro RGV hosted candidate forums for a
  McAllen City Commission district and Republican and Democratic
  forums for United States House districts, Texas State House and
  Senate districts, a state board of education district; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Kinerk has led several other community
  organizations; for her service to McAllen, she was named the city's
  Woman of the Year in 2014, and in 2020, she was inducted into the Rio
  Grande Valley Walk of Fame and honored as the namesake and inaugural
  recipient of a citizenship award presented by the mayor, city
  commissioners, and the City of McAllen; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her years of service, Dr. Kinerk has
  created a positive impact in all of her endeavors; admired for her
  distinguished leadership, Dr. Kinerk is a source of inspiration to
  the members of her community and to all who seek to contribute to
  the public good; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Dr. Nedra S. Kinerk
  on her many years of service to the people of McAllen and the Rio
  Grande Valley and extend to her sincere best wishes for success in
  all of her future endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
  as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
