| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 318, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Section 318.004 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 318.004. STATEMENT REGARDING REVIEW OF LEGISLATION | ||
| REGULATING AN OCCUPATION. (a) A bill that would create an | ||
| occupational license or expand an existing occupational license | ||
| must include the following attached to the bill: | ||
| (1) a statement, prepared by the Legislative Budget | ||
| Board, indicating whether a member of the legislature has requested | ||
| a review of the proposed legislation under Section 325.023; and | ||
| (2) if applicable, any report regarding the | ||
| legislation prepared under that section. | ||
| (b) An item required by Subsection (a) must be printed as | ||
| part of the committee report for the bill and of all subsequent | ||
| printings and remain with the bill throughout the legislative | ||
| process, including submission to the governor. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
