| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subsection (b), Section 503.307, Occupations | ||
| Code, is amended to read as follows: | ||
| (b) An applicant who has failed three [ |
||
| examinations may not reapply for another examination before: | ||
| (1) the second anniversary of the date of the last | ||
| examination taken by the applicant; or | ||
| (2) the date the applicant has satisfactorily | ||
| completed nine graduate semester hours in the applicant's weakest | ||
| portion of the examination. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
