S.B. No. 528

AN ACT
relating to meetings of the University of Houston System Board of
Regents.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 111.16, Education Code, is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 111.16. MEETINGS. The board shall hold [a] regular
meetings for the transaction of business pertaining to the affairs
of the university system. The board by rule may establish a
procedure for calling a special meeting of the board [meeting at the
campus of the university during the month of April annually, and] at
other times [and places scheduled by the board or designated by the
chairman].
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
