| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. In addition to amounts appropriated to the Texas | ||
| A&M Forest Service by Senate Bill No. 1, Acts of the 83rd | ||
| Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, $11,500,000 is appropriated | ||
| out of general revenue account number 5064, Volunteer Fire | ||
| Department Assistance, to the service for each of the fiscal years | ||
| of the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2015, for the purpose | ||
| of assisting volunteer firefighters in paying for equipment, | ||
| personnel training, and administration, and for the purpose of | ||
| staffing and operating costs associated with the Statewide Wildfire | ||
| Protection Plan. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the | ||
| legislative session. | ||
