A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to constructing facilities for state agencies in the
Capitol Complex and the North Austin Complex.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter L, Chapter 2166, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 2166.555 to read as follows:
Sec. 2166.555. CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS IN THE CAPITOL
COMPLEX AND THE NORTH AUSTIN COMPLEX. In accordance with this
chapter, the commission shall construct:
(1) in the Capitol Complex, two office buildings with
utility infrastructure; and
(2) in the North Austin Complex, as described by the
commission's master facilities plan required under Section
2166.102, one office building and one parking structure.
SECTION 2. The construction of a building or other
structure described by this Act is subject to the specific
appropriation of funds, whether for one or more such buildings or
structures, to the Texas Facilities Commission for that purpose by
a general appropriations act of the 84th Legislature.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
