| Quality of information related to emissions events. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 382.0215, Health and Safety Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Subsections (b-1) and (e-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (b-1) After receiving a report of an emissions event under | ||
| Subsection (b)(2), the commission shall provide notice of the event | ||
| to officials who represent the area in which the event occurred, | ||
| including: | ||
| (1) each state senator; | ||
| (2) each state representative; | ||
| (3) the county commissioners court; and | ||
| (4) if applicable, the mayor or other presiding | ||
| officer of any affected municipality. | ||
| (e-1) The commission shall maintain a list of emissions | ||
| events on the commission's Internet website that is easily | ||
| accessible by the public and that includes information on emissions | ||
| events that have occurred in the preceding 12 weeks. The | ||
| information must include: | ||
| (1) the name of the regulated entity; | ||
| (2) each air contaminant emitted; | ||
| (3) the location of the emissions event; and | ||
| (4) the date and duration of the event. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
