| legislature. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 42.007(b), Education Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| (b) Before each regular session of the legislature, the | ||
| board shall[ |
||
| funding elements to the commissioner and the legislature. A report | ||
| under this section must be presented in a single written report | ||
| containing only: | ||
| (1) the equalized funding elements under Subsection | ||
| (c); | ||
| (2) a summary of the board's research methods and | ||
| findings; and | ||
| (3) a summary of any public comments received by the | ||
| board under Subsection (a). | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
