| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 254.036, Election Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (a-1) A report filed under this chapter may satisfy the | ||
| requirements of Sections 254.031(a)(11), (12), and (13) by | ||
| including a brokerage statement with the filed report that contains | ||
| all of the information required under those sections. The | ||
| brokerage statement, if filed by computer diskette, modem, or other | ||
| means of electronic transfer, may be submitted in PDF format. | ||
| SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | ||
| to a report filed under Chapter 254, Election Code, that is due on | ||
| or after the effective date of this Act. A report filed under that | ||
| chapter that is due before the effective date of this Act is | ||
| governed by the law in effect on the date the report is due, and the | ||
| former law is continued in effect for that purpose. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016. | ||
