| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 203.022, Transportation Code , is | ||
| amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) If the department does not receive a response on or | ||
| before the 60th day after the date the notice is mailed, the | ||
| department must make a reasonable effort to locate the property | ||
| owner and provide notice by personal delivery. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
