| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 232, Local Government | ||
| Code, is amended by adding Section 232.0036 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 232.0036. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: WATER UTILITY | ||
| CONNECTIONS. As part of the required documentation for a plat | ||
| application under Section 232.0025(a), the commissioners court of a | ||
| county shall require the applicant to submit documentation showing | ||
| that a water utility connection has been constructed or installed | ||
| to service each lot in the subdivision. | ||
| SECTION 2. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to | ||
| a plat application filed on or after the effective date of this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
