| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 1369.1031, Insurance Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: | ||
| (e) A health benefit plan that provides benefits for | ||
| prescription contraceptive devices must provide coverage of | ||
| evidence-based anxiety and pain management related to the insertion | ||
| or removal of the device. | ||
| SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | ||
| to a health benefit plan that is delivered, issued for delivery, or | ||
| renewed on or after January 1, 2026. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
