| relating to the eligibility of certain engineering firms to | ||
| participate in the construction of a reservoir. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 16.051, Water Code, is amended by adding | ||
| Subsection (g-2) to read as follows: | ||
| (g-2) An engineering firm may not participate in the | ||
| construction of a reservoir at a site designated as a site of unique | ||
| value for the construction of a reservoir in the state water plan | ||
| described by this section if the firm was contracted with or | ||
| procured to assist in: | ||
| (1) preparing a state water plan described by this | ||
| section; | ||
| (2) preparing a regional water plan described by | ||
| Section 16.053; or | ||
| (3) evaluating the feasibility of a project contained | ||
| in a water plan described by Subdivision (1) or (2). | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
