| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 11, Property Code, is amended by adding | ||
| Section 11.0042 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 11.0042. DUTY TO SEND COPY OF DEED TO GRANTOR. After a | ||
| deed is recorded in the real property records of a county, the | ||
| county clerk shall send a copy of the deed to the grantor's address, | ||
| as indicated on the most recently approved county tax roll. | ||
| SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | ||
| to a deed recorded on or after the effective date of this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | ||
