| relating to the effect of municipal annexation of territory in the | ||
| City of Conroe Municipal Management District No. 3. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 3964, Special District | ||
| Local Laws Code, is amended by adding Section 3964.0110 to read as | ||
| follows: | ||
| Sec. 3964.0110. EFFECT OF ANNEXATION. Notwithstanding any | ||
| other law, if all or any part of the territory of the district is | ||
| annexed by the city into the city's corporate limits, the district | ||
| retains all of the district's outstanding debt and obligations and | ||
| is not dissolved. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | ||
