| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. The heading to Section 361.0235, Health and | ||
| Safety Code, is amended to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 361.0235. HAZARDOUS WASTE AND INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE | ||
| GENERATED IN FOREIGN COUNTRY. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 361.0235(a), Health and Safety Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| (a) Except as otherwise provided by this section, a person | ||
| may not receive, transport, or cause to be transported into this | ||
| state, for the purpose of treatment, storage, or disposal in this | ||
| state, hazardous waste or Class I industrial solid waste generated | ||
| in a country other than the United States. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
