| relating to the eligibility of the Texas ChalleNGe Academy to | ||
| receive Foundation School Program funding. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 431, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 431.0401 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 431.0401. TEXAS CHALLENGE ACADEMY. For each student | ||
| enrolled in the Texas ChalleNGe Academy, the academy is entitled to | ||
| allotments from the Foundation School Program under Chapter 42, | ||
| Education Code, as if the academy were a school district without a | ||
| tier one local share for purposes of Section 42.253, Education | ||
| Code. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
