| Remembrance Day. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 662.071 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 662.071. SCHOOL SHOOTING VICTIMS REMEMBRANCE DAY. (a) | ||
| May 18 is School Shooting Victims Remembrance Day to remember and | ||
| honor the students, faculty, and staff who have lost their lives in | ||
| school shootings throughout the country. | ||
| (b) School Shooting Victims Remembrance Day shall be | ||
| regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies and activities. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
