A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to designating May 18 as School Shooting Victims
  Remembrance Day.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 662.071 to read as follows:
         Sec. 662.071.  SCHOOL SHOOTING VICTIMS REMEMBRANCE DAY. (a)
  May 18 is School Shooting Victims Remembrance Day to remember and
  honor the students, faculty, and staff who have lost their lives in
  school shootings throughout the country.
         (b)  School Shooting Victims Remembrance Day shall be
  regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies and activities.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
