| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 274, Election Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 274.004 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 274.004. PLACEMENT ON BALLOT. A proposition | ||
| submitting a proposed constitutional amendment must be placed | ||
| before all parties, offices, names, and other propositions on the | ||
| ballot. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
