A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to access to certain stored communications of a provider
  of an electronic communications service or remote computing service
  in this state pursuant to a warrant issued in another state.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 4, Article 18.21, Code of Criminal
  Procedure, is amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
         (g)  For purposes of this section, a warrant properly issued
  in another state is given full faith and credit in this state, and a
  service provider in this state that is required under the warrant to
  disclose the contents of a communication must comply with the
  warrant in accordance with the provisions of this section as if the
  warrant had been issued by a district court in this state.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
