	H.R. No. 992



	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Parents Alliance dba Superate y Triunfa is
	celebrating the 11th anniversary of its founding in 2019; and
	WHEREAS, Established in 2008, Superate y Triunfa empowers
	low-income Hispanic parents to become full partners in their
	children's education; the organization, which serves parents of
	children attending Title 1 schools, focuses on self-esteem, family
	values, social responsibility, and education for success; and
	WHEREAS, Superate y Triunfa has yielded an 83 percent
	graduation rate, with 30 percent of its classes graduating all
	enrollees; over the course of the program, parents gain an
	understanding of the American education system and the confidence
	to become involved in their children's schools and to communicate
	with teachers and administrators; and
	WHEREAS, For more than a decade, Superate y Triunfa has made a
	positive difference in the lives of countless Texas families by
	giving parents the tools to become active agents of change in their
	children's education, and this exceptional program is indeed worthy
	of recognition; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
	Legislature hereby commemorate the 11th anniversary of Parents
	Alliance dba Superate y Triunfa and extend to all those associated
	with the program sincere best wishes for continued success with
	their important work; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
