R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ray Dunlap has been named the 2023 chair of the board
of directors for the Texas Economic Development Council, and this
presents a fitting opportunity to recognize him for his many
accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, A member of the TEDC executive committee since 2018,
Mr. Dunlap assumed his role as chair of the board on October 21,
2022, and his tenure will span until October 2023; and
WHEREAS, In the course of his 36-year career, Mr. Dunlap has
developed a reputation as a skilled negotiator, salesman, and
manager; he currently serves as president of the Terrell Economic
Development Corporation, and he previously held the role of
community and economic development manager for the Town of
Fairview; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Ray Dunlap's dedication and
expertise have greatly benefited his colleagues and fellow
citizens, and the experience he has acquired along the way will
serve him well as he takes on this challenging new role; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ray Dunlap on being named chair of
the Texas Economic Development Council board of directors for 2023
and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Dunlap as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
