| WHEREAS, Mixtli in San Antonio has been awarded a 2024 | ||
| MICHELIN Star by the MICHELIN Guide; and | ||
| WHEREAS, One of the most prestigious honors in the culinary | ||
| world, a MICHELIN Star rating is regarded as the pinnacle of | ||
| achievement for restaurants and chefs around the globe; candidates | ||
| are evaluated by MICHELIN inspectors on the quality of their | ||
| ingredients, the balance of flavors in their dishes, the technical | ||
| expertise on display, the personality of the chef as conveyed | ||
| through the cuisine, and consistency between visits; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded by Rico Torres and Diego Galicia, Mixtli is | ||
| the sole San Antonio establishment to receive a star rating in | ||
| MICHELIN's inaugural Texas guide; the restaurant features an | ||
| evolving menu that explores the richness and regional diversity of | ||
| Mexico's gastronomic landscape; and | ||
| WHEREAS, With its receipt of this prestigious honor, Mixtli | ||
| has secured a place among the top dining establishments in the | ||
| world, and the restaurant's ownership, management, and staff may | ||
| indeed take pride in this impressive accomplishment; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Mixtli on earning a MICHELIN Star | ||
| rating for 2024 and extend to all those associated with the | ||
| restaurant sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
