| WHEREAS, The family and friends of Aaron Lee Ramon of | ||
| Banquete suffered an immeasurable loss with his death on January | ||
| 19, 2021, at the age of 51; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Robert M. Ramon and Dolores Garza | ||
| Alvarado, Aaron Ramon was born on February 2, 1969, in Dallas, and | ||
| he grew up with the companionship of three siblings, Bobby, Brandi, | ||
| and Stevohn; he graduated from Banquete High School in 1987 and | ||
| later earned an associate degree in business administration; he | ||
| served in the U.S. Navy for two decades, including three years | ||
| aboard the USS Wisconsin during the Persian Gulf War, and he was | ||
| also assigned to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and Naval Air | ||
| Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans; in the course of his | ||
| military career, he earned numerous awards; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Ramon went on to work for the U.S. Postal | ||
| Service, and he was the Robstown postmaster for 15 of his 25 years | ||
| with the organization; dedicated to his community, he was a member | ||
| of the Banquete Independent School District board of trustees and a | ||
| valued congregant of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church; in | ||
| addition, he coached numerous youth basketball and football teams | ||
| and was vice president of the Banquete youth football league; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Ramon benefited from the | ||
| love and support of his wife of 30 years, Janie; he was the proud | ||
| father of three daughters, Gabriella, Marina, and Kassandra, and he | ||
| also cherished his goddaughter, Sofia; and | ||
| WHEREAS, While his loss is difficult to bear, Aaron Ramon | ||
| leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives are far | ||
| richer for having known him, and he will always hold a treasured | ||
| place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Aaron Lee Ramon and | ||
| extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his | ||
| wife, Janie Ramon; to his children, Gabriella Noguez and her | ||
| husband, Manuel, Marina Ramon, and Kassandra Ramon; to his father, | ||
| Robert M. Ramon; to his stepfather, Israel Alvarado; to his | ||
| brother, Bobby Ramon, his wife, Violet, and their children, Nomar, | ||
| Raylee, and Tori; to his sister, Brandi Taylor, her husband, | ||
| Russell, and their children, Nick, Devyn, and Kylee; to his | ||
| brother, Stevohn Alvarado, and his wife, Tess; to his goddaughter, | ||
| Sofia Jenna; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Aaron | ||
| Ramon. | ||
