| WHEREAS, Sabra Sauer is retiring from St. Joseph High School | ||
| in Victoria in 2025, drawing to a close an outstanding career in | ||
| education that has spanned 38 years; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Sauer began teaching in 1987 at Bloomington High | ||
| School; she joined the faculty at St. Joseph High School in 1996, | ||
| and over the course of her tenure, she has taught a range of | ||
| subjects, including physics, chemistry, biology, advanced biology, | ||
| geology, anatomy and physiology, life science, and forensic | ||
| science; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Sauer graduated from Texas A&M University with a | ||
| bachelor's degree in microbiology; in addition, she received an | ||
| associate's degree from Victoria College and a joint teaching | ||
| certification from the University of Houston-Victoria and Texas | ||
| A&M; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and | ||
| commitment to excellence, Sabra Sauer has helped foster a | ||
| supportive and challenging educational environment for countless | ||
| young Texans, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her many | ||
| achievements as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her | ||
| life; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Sabra Sauer on her retirement from | ||
| St. Joseph High School in Victoria and extend to her sincere best | ||
| wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Sauer as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
