WHEREAS, Raymond Boothe was appointed to the Katy City | ||
Council on March 3, 2017; and | ||
WHEREAS, A resident of Katy since 1991, Ray Boothe previously | ||
served on the city's planning and zoning commission; when asked to | ||
finish an unexpired term on the city council, he accepted the | ||
appointment, resigning his seat on the planning and zoning | ||
commission; he intends to run for the office during a special | ||
election on May 6; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Boothe is manager of and a commercial insurance | ||
specialist for Boothe Insurance, where he works with his wife, | ||
Shari; he holds a degree in accounting from The University of Texas | ||
and previously served as an accounting supervisor for TransAmerica | ||
Mutual Fund Company; the proud father of four children, he has | ||
coached a homeschool high school baseball team and volunteers with | ||
Memorial Ashford Little League; and | ||
WHEREAS, Engaged in his community and dedicated to his | ||
profession, Ray Boothe is an inspiring civic and business leader, | ||
and he will no doubt bring equal commitment and energy to his new | ||
duties as a member of the city council; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Raymond Boothe on his appointment | ||
to the Katy City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for | ||
the future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Boothe as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
