	H.R. No. 94



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced

	by a great and enduring love, Ed and Nancy Billingsley of Lamesa

	reached a meaningful milestone in their relationship when they

	celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and

	WHEREAS, Ed Billingsley and the former Nancy Goolsby were

	united in matrimony on January 1, 1961; through the years, they have

	nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with

	the addition of their children, Jannelle Long and her husband,

	David, and Leigh Ann Fry and her husband, Randy, and four cherished

	grandchildren; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Billingsley celebrated this momentous

	anniversary with an Alaskan cruise in 2010, which was a

	well-deserved vacation after their recent retirement from their

	farming and ranching endeavors; in addition to sharing an interest

	in travel, they enjoy spending time with their family and

	collecting antiques and have been longtime members of the Lamesa

	Church of Christ; and

	WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past

	half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant

	in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love

	has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with

	grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas

	Legislature hereby congratulate Ed and Nancy Billingsley on their

	golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes

	for continued happiness; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

	prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Billingsley as an expression of high

	regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
