R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jason Sutcliffe has been named the 2011 Paramedic of
  the Year by the Mesquite Fire Department; and
         WHEREAS, A member of the department since 1998, Mr. Sutcliffe
  earned his paramedic certification in 2000; he has demonstrated
  professional excellence throughout his career, and in 2010 his
  exceptional work earned him two Lifesaving Awards; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Sutcliffe has also been honored for his
  contributions to The University of Texas Southwestern Medical
  Center Field Internship Training program and for his service in
  behalf of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life; and
         WHEREAS, Recognized for his dedication, compassion, and
  expertise, Jason Sutcliffe has won the respect and admiration of
  his colleagues, and his efforts have helped to ensure the safety and
  well-being of his fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jason Sutcliffe on his selection as
  the 2011 Paramedic of the Year by the Mesquite Fire Department and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Sutcliffe as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
