| WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned a | ||
| quarter-century, Steve and Karen Briggs of Robinson celebrated | ||
| their 25th wedding anniversary on February 22, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Steve Briggs and the former Karen Bethke exchanged | ||
| the vows of matrimony at First Baptist Church in Waco on that | ||
| special day in 1986; they count among their blessings a fine family | ||
| that includes their two daughters, Mary Katelyn and Carroll Anne, | ||
| with whom they share the many special occasions of life; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Briggs is | ||
| employed by the Waco Independent School District as a communication | ||
| engineer, and Mrs. Briggs teaches child development at McLennan | ||
| Community College while continuing her education at Sam Houston | ||
| State University; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 25 years, Steve and Karen | ||
| Briggs can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that | ||
| the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more | ||
| joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Steve and Karen Briggs on their | ||
| 25th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Briggs as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
