R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned a
quarter-century, Steve and Karen Briggs of Robinson celebrated
their 25th wedding anniversary on February 22, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Steve Briggs and the former Karen Bethke exchanged
the vows of matrimony at First Baptist Church in Waco on that
special day in 1986; they count among their blessings a fine family
that includes their two daughters, Mary Katelyn and Carroll Anne,
with whom they share the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Briggs is
employed by the Waco Independent School District as a communication
engineer, and Mrs. Briggs teaches child development at McLennan
Community College while continuing her education at Sam Houston
State University; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 25 years, Steve and Karen
Briggs can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that
the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more
joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Steve and Karen Briggs on their
25th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Briggs as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
