R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Mariachi Oro of Edinburg North High School has been
  invited to perform at Iguazú en Concierto, which is being held in
  Puerto Iguazú, Misiones, Argentina, May 25-30, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, This international music festival annually brings
  together some 700 young musicians from more than 20 countries to
  participate in a week of concerts and to attend workshops taught by
  renowned artists from the Teatro Colón and the Argentine National
  Symphony Orchestra in Buenos Aires; and
         WHEREAS, Guided by director Abel Acuña, Mariachi Oro will be
  featured in three performances during the festival, including the
  grand finale concert on the closing day, and the group's showcases
  will be televised and broadcast around the world; and
         WHEREAS, The outstanding musicianship of Mariachi Oro places
  it among the finest school ensembles in the nation, and its members
  may take great pride in earning this exciting opportunity to
  demonstrate their talents on a global stage; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Mariachi Oro of Edinburg North High
  School on its selection to perform at the 2015 Iguazú en Concierto
  and extend to its members sincere best wishes for a memorable and
  enjoyable trip; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
